Blogville PD Equipment Requisitions

Hey Everyone!
Wow, I'm so totally stunned by how fast our construction project is going!  Those beavers, gophers and all of their co-workers are setting new records for quick work.  While they are being all nose-to-the-grindstone, I got busy and started requisitioning new furnishings and equipment for our updated facility.   We are getting all new things and I couldn't be more excited!  Out with the peep stuff and in with the Blogville stuff.  No more stretching, walking on hindlegs, and all of that other junk.  We're in the modern era now and I'm getting all of the right things for our new setup.

Check out these shelves that are nice and low-to-the-floor!
Right where we can all reach things.
Of course, I'll be sure that they supply us with brand new ones that aren't pre-stocked
with someone's junk!  BOL

Here's a file cabinet that is perfectly designed for us!
Once again, right at our level.  We can stuff this full of files and always be able to reach.

I'll be setting up each office and conference room with furniture like this.
Just look at the design!  Perfect for hard-working pooches!

Yes, well, we officers and staff deserve prime parking places.
Perks of the job!  BOL

OOOHHHHH!!       I'm so very very happy about this purchase!
Feast your eyes on our new UNIVERSAL TRANSLATORS!
Now we will all have these on our legs and we will be able to talk with all of the residents of Blogville and we will all understand each other.  No more confusing whistles, brays, whinnies, honks, roars, growls and etc.  These are perfect for a diverse society with dozens of languages.
These will be amazing tools for us!

Here is our new ACME WOOFER-TWEETER 5000.
It's the latest in high-tech radio communications gadgetry.

Boy is this a top priority!
As you saw in my proposal, we desperately need a better way to do paw, hoof, talon, flipper etc prints.  Gosh, those old peep fingerprint setups are horrible for us.  This new kit will be PERFECT!   Look out criminals...we'll have you right where we want you!

Check out this last item!
We will have our own microchipping system.
Your Blogville PD will offer chipping services for any citizen who needs to be chipped and we will be able to quickly, easily and accurately identify anyone in our custody.
LOOK OUT CRIMINALS...you can run, fly, swim, dig...
BUT YOU CAN'T HIDE!  WE'LL KNOW EXACTLY WHO YOU ARE!

Isn't that cool?!?

My wagger is totally worn out from all of this furious wagging!  BOL  I can't wait for all of my orders to arrive.  We will have a perfectly equipped department.  Everything from the furniture to the communications to the office equipment to the latest in crime-fighting technology.

As soon as the construction crews get their jobs finished, we'll have the perfect home for all of our new goodies!  O  M  D  I can't hardly wait!!!

Blogville PD Construction Zone

Hey Everyone!
Wow, it was a really tough decision, but I chose a design for our new Blogville Police Station and Jail!  I'm so incredibly wound-up about this, I can't stop wagging.  Anyway, I've cracked the whip and construction is under way.  Here are some pix of the work that's been going on, and continues to happen...

Okay, we've had the ground-breaking and the gophers
are working on the foundation!

Next up, the beavers are busy with the beams, studs, trusses!

Hmm, hope this one gets a little extra attention before being added to the building!

The painters will be all set and ready when it's time to do those ceilings!

All of the tiles will be properly, well, sealed!

OMD, it's really taking shape!

Tune in later to see the new equipment, fixtures, furniture and etc.

Blogville PD Blueprint

Hey Everyone!
Wow, I'm so very excited to announce that Mayor-Elect Madi has approved my request to update the Blogville Police Department and Jail!  Isn't that wonderful?!?   She's going to be such a great leader and she had the great-good-sense to remind me that Frankie is still Mayor and the bill for the project will go to him.  Oh, BWAR HAR HAR that's a good one, Madi!    I'm sure Frankie will approve anyway since he's been a great leader for our community for many years.  Anyway, now that I have the green light for the project, I want to present my designs.

Blueprint of proposed Blogville Police Station and Jail

Floor Plan

And now, for some models to be considered for our final design...

Oh, BWAR HAR HAR
Just kidding!   No legos in this project!

Gotta get this model just right so you can see what I have in mind.

Okay, this is one possible design.

Here's another possible design.

I'm not sure which I'll choose.  They're both so very nice,
and note that I have included lots of trees and shrubs for our, um, convenience.  ahem.

This is so incredibly exciting!  I'll be working up the final design over the next few days.  I'm going to insist that we keep to a tight construction schedule for this whole project, so I'll have to decide fast.  Tune in Monday to see the start of the construction!

Proposal for Blogville PD

Hey Everyone!
Wow, I have had something on my canine brain for a while now, and I'm finally ready to step up to the plate and let fly!     Here goes:::::

To Mayor-Elect Madi
From Sarge, Chief Of Police
Date  November 21, 2012

Subject:  Remodel of Blogville Police Station and Jail

Ms Madi, I humbly submit that our current facility is in need of modernization.  The station and jail are rather old and, well, um.....how to say this....okay, it was built for peeps!    It is my hope that with your leadership and the support of the community, my proposal will be accepted.

I offer the following exhibits to support my request.

We have just a little bit of deterioration here...
well, okay, lots of it!   It's totally drafty in the Winter cold!
BOL   ahem.

Picture of our current jail cells.    Certainly designed for peeps.  I mean look at the height of those shelves!   A tall prisoner could reach, but everyone else is stuck trying to climb.  Bad news for the vertically-challenged.  Note the lack of trees, litter boxes, newspapers or straw.     Besides, check out that ugly lime green....YUCK!!

And, these bars...See how high the locks are!
I can barely reach them even on my tippy-toes.

Another exhibit for your consideration... Please consider our lineup room!
See the height markings on that wall?
RIGHT...IT'S DESIGNED FOR PEEPS.
Sure, a great dane or a horse or a giraffe could line up here,
but it's pretty useless for most of our needs.

Now, this conference room is in pretty good shape, but check out the furniture.
I submit that these chairs and tables are suited for peeps.  Now, I can jump into a chair and even stand on a table when I need to, but really, I request new furniture tailor-made for us.

Please accept this exhibit as justification for the purchase of new equipment.  For example, this is our current printing equipment...again, great for peeps, lousy for us.  IT'S A "FINGER" PRINTER!   FINGER, not paw, claw, talon, hoof, etc.    Small paws can be printed on this, but for larger criminals, this just doesn't work.   For the sake of professionalism, we should quit using finger paint, paint rollers, and big pads of paper.  BOL  ahem.   Here are some of the more unfortunate experiences we've had:

What a mess!  Gotta be a better way to print a perp!

Our current computer systems are actually sufficient, however, the front desk is peep-height.  I can do this for quite awhile, then I just gotta jump back down.  I have found that my counter snuffling and raiding at home has gotten me in pretty good shape for this, but I propose we refurnish our new facility with proper furniture appropriate for for all deputies, citizens and criminals alike.

Based on these examples and exhibits, I respectfully request the appropriation of funds for the updating of our Blogville Police Station and Jail.  I propose a new building with properly designed cells, rooms and offices.  My proposal also includes updated equipment and furniture.   With approval, I will submit plans for the facility and grounds, and purchase orders for the required supplies.

Thank you for your time and attention to this matter and I await your response.

Crabby Monday...Thanksgiving Week

Hello Blogville and Toodle-oo to Turkle!

This is the week that everyone in the U.S.A. will set Thursday aside to celebrate Thanksgiving.  We crabby girls didn't want to be left out.  We have a lot to be thankful for...like The Hands who take such good care of us.  We get nice sand to play and dig in, lots of fun logs and brush to hide in, yummy food and clean water.  And, we have all of you, our Blogville friends!

So, we wish all of you a Happy Thanksgiving full of food, fun, friends and family.

From Beachnut

And Shelldon

By the way, stay tuned to Sarge's posts in the next week or so...he has a HUGE BIG PROJECT COMING FOR THE BLOGVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT!

Snicker Saturday...Cartoons

Hey Everyone!
Wow, it's another beautiful weekend in Blogville and Saturday means it's time for another Snicker Saturday.  Today starts bear hunting in my territory, so I'm hoping all of my ginormous furry furiends keep their heads down and stay safe.  Also, here in the U.S., next Thursday is Thanksgiving, so I've gathered a collection of cartoons for both occasions.  Always gotta give credit to Gary Larsen (The Far Side) and Chad Carpenter (Tundra) for their side-splitting cartoons!

Bears getting some revenge on peeps!

And of course we all love Snoopy and Woodstock.

Have a great weekend, my furiends!
